Two freight forwarders have joined forces to provide their customers with a new multimodal transport service. BNSF Railway and Maersk Logistics have introduced their 3D Freight Forwarder network, which connects the US to international freight markets through a comprehensive suite of freight offerings, including standard railcar loadings, automated logistics operations and live freight flows across multiple sea and air hubs. The service is part of Maersk's global network of direct routes with more than 100 global hubs. BNSF Railway has been offering international freight and trade services to rail shippers since the 1950s, the company said in a statement. Maersk Logistics is a joint venture with the Maersk Group, which operates a global freight.
